Hearts

One of my dearest childhood memories is retrieving a toy from a vending machine. I remember the small capsule rolling into my hand, revealing a delicate chain with a red heart pendant. It was the finest treasure. This memory of happiness later inspired my work as a goldsmith.

When I started my first business—a small shop in Copenhagen over 20 years ago—one of my best-selling pieces became my childhood necklace, now reimagined in 18-karat gold and accented with a small coral heart. Clearly, I wasn’t the only one who felt that same childlike thrill when receiving such a simple treasure as a heart on a chain.

Recently, when I was offered a selection of exquisite coral hearts, I felt an irresistible urge to remake this necklace and rediscover that childhood bliss.

So I did.
